This proposal was for an amendment of Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) No. A680301 for GFL Environmental Services Inc. for the operation of an ex-situ biological treatment facility for non-hazardous petroleum hydrocarbon and volatile organic compound impacted soils.

We have expanded the boundaries of 26 protected areas (13 provincial parks and 13 conservation reserves) and created 12 new protected areas ( 2 provincial parks and 10 conservation reserves). These changes provide increased opportunities for recreational activities and contribute to the long-term sustainability of Ontario’s natural heritage.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval has been granted to Meyers Holdings Inc. for stormwater management works serving a greenhouse site located at 957 Stewart Road in the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.

An amended waste Environmental Compliance Approval was issued to GFL Environmental Services Inc. to permit an increase to the maximum and daily quantities of excess soil that can be received at the site.

An amendment was issued to Environmental Compliance Approval (waste disposal site) No. 6335-6FBNK7 Greenflow Environmental Services Inc. for a solid, non-hazardous municipal waste facility on a site that is 0.67 hectares in area, located in the City of Hamilton.

The Ministry has revised the Northwest GTA Transmission Corridor’s Narrowed Area of Interest (NAI) following further technical study. The changes preserve a technically viable corridor for future transmission infrastructure adjacent to Highway 413 and reduce land use impacts, particularly in the Heritage Heights area of Brampton.

On March 12, 2026, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing made a Minister's Zoning Order in the City of Toronto as Zoning Order 005-2026. 

The application was cancelled as withdrawn by the applicant.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-25-000199 to Canadian Gold Miner Corporation for early exploration activities. The decision is to issue the mineral exploration permit.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage) was granted for the installation of Class 4 Septic System to replace an existing old septic system servicing the residential dwelling located at 23 Sidoak Lane, City of Quinte West.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) for Gateway Services Inc. for the operation of a pet crematorium facility, located in the City of St. Thomas, Ontario.

The ministry has issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage) to Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited for the construction of sewage works servicing the Midland Lawrence MS substation located at 1365 Midland Avenue, in the City of Toronto.

Certificate of Property Use No. 2016-DKXHP8 for 239, 241, 247 and 255 Dundas Street East, Toronto, Ontario, was issued to owners as part of their development plans for the site.

Approval is granted for a new Environmental Compliance Approval (sewage) for Riverside 360 Inc. This application is for the approval of stormwater management works to serve an industrial manufacturing facility with associated parking and driveways development site located at 2042 Victory Court, in the City of London, County of Middlesex.

The Ministry issued a Certificate of Property Use No. 2467-DJ2JR2 to Cello Products Inc. for the intended residential use of the property at 300 Elgin Street North, Cambridge, Ontario.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-25-000198 to Frontier Lithium for early exploration activities.

The decision is to: issue the mineral exploration permit.

Permit to Take Water No. P-300-1637438277 has been issued to 1282807 ONTARIO LIMITED renewing PTTW No. 3256-A77QFX for golf course irrigation purposes. Water will be taken from one pond located in Burlington, Ontario.

This decision is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval for the establishment of subsurface sewage disposal works rated at 1,600 litres per day, to service a cottage located at 30 Third Line Road, in the Township of Centre Wellington.

Establishment of industrial stormwater management Works to serve waste and recycling transfer station and excess soil facility, located in the City of Toronto for the collection, transmission, treatment and disposal of stormwater run-off from a total catchment area of 3.24 hectares of total 6.35 hectares of site.
