We have approved amendments to the management direction for Nimoosh, Pukaskwa River, Gravel River, Kama Hills, Ruby Lake and Black Sturgeon River provincial parks to allow an electrical transmission to be built between Thunder Bay and Wawa. Amendments to Ouimet Canyon Provincial Park will not be included in this project.

We decided not to release the proposed guide because there are proposed changes to the Provincial Policy Statement coming soon. We will make further changes to the proposed guide once the new Provincial Policy Statement is released. We will consult on those further changes.
Objectives and strategies have been established to help maintain the fisheries within Fisheries Management Zone 12 of the Ottawa River. The Fisheries Management Plan will help promote ecological sustainability and evaluate the effectiveness of how it's managed.
We decided to proceed with ending acetone reporting in Ontario. This will align us with the federal government and other provinces that have not required acetone release reporting since 1998 and reduce burden for business without compromising protection of human health and the environment.
We are proceeding with the plan to protect Slate Island provincial park’s natural and cultural heritage, and incorporating changes based on Indigenous and public feedback. The plan will guide the use, development, management and operation of the park for a 20-year period.
The ministry has exempted the City of Belleville’s proposal to widen Bell Boulevard, a 3-kilometre arterial road in the City of Belleville, from a two-lane road to a four-lane road, from the requirements of the Environmental Assessment Act through a declaration order.

The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks has ended the Drive Clean light vehicle program and will be proposing changes to the heavy diesel commercial motor vehicles program and strengthened on-road enforcement.
The Minister has identified the Ontario Food Terminal as a provincially significant employment zone. This notice is related to ERO 013-4506, which proposed and provided for consultation on the policy framework for provincially significant employment zones. The Ministry will continue to consider requests to review the zones or add new zones.

A new proposal ‘Ontario’s Sustainable Bait Management Strategy’, (ERO Number 019-0518) has replaced this notice (012-9791) effective September 30, 2019. Feedback received from this policy proposal has been reviewed and incorporated in the new policy.
A Place to Grow: Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe 2019 came into effect on May 16, 2019 replacing the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2017. Modifications to O. Reg. 311/06 support the implementation of the plan by providing transitional treatment for certain planning matters currently in process.
