We are amending Ontario’s Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reporting Requirements under the Greenhouse Gas Emissions: Quantification, Reporting and Verification regulation (O. Reg. 390/18) and the incorporated Guideline. The amendments will reduce unnecessary costs and regulatory burden for affected reporters.

An amended Environmental Compliance Approval has been issued to Twin Creeks Greenhouse Inc. for the alteration of an existing greenhouse stormwater management facility located at 8117 Zion Line, in the Township of Warwick.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval was granted to Aldershot Greenhouses Limited for stormwater management works serving flower growing greenhouse development located at 367 5th Concession Road East, in the City of Hamilton.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval was granted to Denva Greenhouses Inc. for the stormwater management works serving a total of 11.44 hectares of drainage area (watershed 1 and watershed 2) of greenhouse development, located at 2980 South Talbot Road, in the Town of Kingsville, County of Essex, Ontario.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval was granted for an existing greenhouse stormwater management facility serving Voogt Greenhouses Limited, located at 510 Line 1 Road, RR#2, in the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval is granted to 1445601 Ontario Inc., operating as Bradford Greenhouses Limited, for existing stormwater management works serving the greenhouse site located at 2383 12th Line, in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury, Ontario.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval has been granted to Willy's Greenhouses Ltd. for stormwater management facility serving the greenhouse site located at 662 Stewart Road, in the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.

A new ECA Approval was granted to Twin Creeks Greenhouse Inc. for the construction of a sewage treatment disposal system to service the existing and proposed greenhouses, and a single family home located at 8117 Zion Line, in the Township of Warwick, County of Lambton, Ontario.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval has been granted for the existing greenhouse stormwater management facility serving Andrew Hendriks & Sons Greenhouses Inc., located at 5095 North Service Road in the Town of Lincoln.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval for a greenhouse stormwater management facility is granted to Sunrise Greenhouses Inc., located at 3324 2nd Avenue, Vineland Station, Town of Lincoln, Regional Municipality of Niagara.

We have completed the 5-year review of the Guide. Changes to the Guide include alignment with updated standards/criteria and regulations, as well as a revised assessment methodology. The updated Guide will apply to new projects.

An amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) has been granted to Newko Greenhouse Ltd. to amend ECA No. 2821-C5LNQ6 for proposed alterations to the existing stormwater management (pond 1) system.
