The Minister of Red Tape Reduction introduced the proposed Less Red Tape, Stronger Ontario Act, 2023 to increase Ontario’s competitiveness and build a stronger supply chain, and make government easier to interact with by cutting red tape.
Bill 46 (Less Red Tape, Stronger Ontario Act, 2023) received Royal Assent on March 22, 2023
On July 8, 2020, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Zoning Order with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation 358/20 to permit an outdoor patio to be used in combination with an eating establishment that is permitted on a lot. The Minister's Zoning Order was made based on a request from the City of Toronto.

We have issued a Renewable Energy Approval to the Town of Petawawa to retrofit an existing water treatment facility to help them turn waste into energy. They will use a process called anaerobic digestion to break down waste and create biogas. This biogas will be used to generate electricity.

The province is proposing new legislation that, if passed, would require the expansion of crucial wastewater treatment services for York Region and the construction of a phosphorus reduction facility to remove phosphorus from drainage water that flows into Lake Simcoe.
