The Ministry did not adopt the Interim Canadian Water Quality Guideline for Diisopropanolamine as an Interim Provincial Water Quality Objective.

Feedback from phase 1 consultation on growing the Greenbelt including a Paris Galt Moraine study area and ideas for adding Urban River Valleys was considered. On March 24, 2022, Phase 2 consultation was launched on proposed amendments to the Greenbelt Plan and Greenbelt Area boundary regulation to add 13 new and expanded Urban River Valleys.

We have issued an amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval No. A371203 to Waste Management of Canada Corporation (WMCC) for incorporation of a Contaminant Attenuation Zone, update to the environmental monitoring plan, and operation of the North Lagoon at the Richmond Landfill site, located in the Town of Greater Napanee, Ontario.

Application to amend the Niagara Escarpment Plan to re-designate approximately 82 hectares of land in Burlington from Escarpment Rural Area to Escarpment Natural Area and Escarpment Protection Area has been closed.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on May 3, 2022 in respect of Application 58-C-218616 for the creation of one of two new lots for recreational use on lands described as PIN 62492-0254, Unincorporated Township of Sibley, District of Thunder Bay. The last day this decision can be appealed is May 23, 2022.

The Ministry is issuing a Minister’s Order to Algoma Ferrous Industries Inc., under subsection 147(1) of the Mining Act, to file a closure plan to rehabilitate mine hazards at the MacLeod Mine site. The result would be the receipt of a closure plan for the rehabilitation of mine hazards, including associated financial assurance.

A Certificate of Property Use was issued to 2701098 Ontario Inc. for the property located at 152 Shanley Street, Kitchener.

Application 58-C-175646 was approved on September 20, 2019 subject to conditions. The effect of this application is to re-establish the boundary between PIN 62313-0490 and PIN 62313-0489 to rectify a merger on title. The decision was updated on October 21, 2019 to replace Condition 5. The last day of appeal of this decision is November 10, 2019.

The last day this decision can be appealed is July 31, 2025.
