The minister has issued an overall benefit permit to Enbridge Gas Inc. for the construction of a natural gas pipeline that may impact Butler’s Gartersnake, which is a species at risk. The permit includes actions to benefit the species, minimize adverse effects, and outlines monitoring and reporting requirements.

A decision has been made on the boundaries for Ontario’s new regional conservation authorities. This spring, the government intends to introduce legislative amendments to the Conservation Authorities Act (CAA) that, if passed, would consolidate Ontario’s 36 Conservation Authorities (CAs) and create nine regional CAs, targeted to occur in early 2027

An Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) with the Limited Operational Flexibility has been granted to Heidelberg Materials Canada Limited, a cement manufacturing facility located in the City of Picton, Ontario.
