We have decided to proceed with updates to the Technical Guideline for Cleaner Transportation Fuels. The updates provide new direction for calculating the GHG intensity of bio-based content that is produced in facilities concurrently with other non-fuel ethanol products e.g., different grades of ethanol, such as beverage or medical-grade.

The Minister has issued an overall benefit permit under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 to the Governing Council of the University of Toronto for development of a single building which will impact Eastern Flowering Dogwood. The permit includes actions to minimize adverse effects and benefit the species, and monitoring and reporting requirements.

We have issued an Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air & noise) to Designed Precision Castings Inc., an investment casting foundry, located at 75 Eastern Avenue, Brampton, Ontario.

We issued an Environmental Compliance Approval to Best Blasting Mats Inc. for their 500 Salter Street, Sturgeon Falls, Ontario location. This approval amendment the existing tire processing approval to increase daily receiving, on-site storage, storage times, hours of operation and site security.

Permit to Take Water No. 6830-D3ZKXH was issued to St. George's Golf and Country Club on May 17, 2024 to renew Permit to Take Water No. 8038-B97QWL for golf course irrigation purposes. Water will be taken from two (2) well sources in the City of Toronto.

Permit to Take Water No. 3383-D2HQYA was issued to ClubLink Corporation ULC, operating as Georgetown Golf Club on May 10, 2024 to renew Permit to Take Water No. 5857-B9CKZA for golf course irrigation purposes. Water will be taken from one irrigation pond in the Town of Halton Hills, Regional Municipality of Halton, Ontario for 10 years.

Permit to Take Water No. 1473-D54JK9 was issued to WSC Corporation on May 15, 2024, 2024 to renew Permit to Take Water No. 3600-9FVR6R for golf course irrigation purposes. Water will be taken from two (2) well sources in the Township of Uxbridge, Regional Municipality of Durham, Ontario for 2 years.

Permit to Take Water No. 2512-D4LG39 was issued to Decast Ltd. on May 13, 2024 to renew Permit to Take Water No. 5680-B9DRLC for industrial manufacturing purposes. Water will be taken from two (2) wells in the Township of Essa, County of Simcoe, Ontario for 10 years. 

Permit to Take Water No. P-300-3162307002 V. 2.0 was issued to Brookfield Homes (Ontario) Whitby Limited on May 21, 2024, to renew Permit to Take Water No. P-300-3162307002 V. 1.0 for construction dewatering purposes. Water will be taken from five sources in the Town of Whitby, Regional Municipality of Durham, Ontario for two years.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent for a lot addition to rectify an access issue was granted on May 22, 2024, subject to conditions. 

The Permit to Take Water No. P-300-6268733294 was issued to L.A. Developments Inc. on May 16, 2024, to renew the permit no. 3114-CT2N3L. Water will be taken from two ponds for construction dewatering purposes at 2605 County Road 43 in Kemptville, Ontario.

Permit to Take Water No. 2318-D46H6C was issued to Galt Country Club Limited, on May 17, 2024, to renew the Permit No. 0735-9HXPA9. Water will be taken from one pond, located in the City of Cambridge, Regional Municipality of Waterloo, Ontario for golf course irrigation purposes for 10 years.

The Permit to Take Water No. 7568-D5GNYL was issued to New-Life Mills as a division of Parrish and Heimbecker Ltd. on May 22, 2024, to renew the permit 0623-C6ERC4. Water will be taken from one (1) well for food processing purposes, located in Listowel, Ontario.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-23-000352 to Bounty Gold Corp..- 50%, Last Resort Resources Ltd.- 1%, Beyond Minerals Inc.- 49% for early exploration activities.

The decision is to issue the mineral exploration permit.
