The ministry has issued a new Environmental Compliance Approval to Walker BESS 4 Inc. for the establisment of stormwater management works and spill containment works servicing the proposed Almonte BESS 1 and Almonte BESS 2 lithium-ion battery storage facilities on a site located at 6299 County Road 29, in the Township of Mississippi Mills.

We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. 8253-CNFQXE to Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd on February 24, 2023. Water will be taken from one well for dewatering and industrial purposes at the Magnacon Mine site, located in the District of Thunder Bay, Ontario. This new permit expires on December 10, 2032.

We have issued a Permit to Take Water No. 3304-CKBVRM for DBS - Hearn Inc. on October 20, 2022. This permit cancels and replaces permit No. 0120-8NFMJK. Water will be taken from one well and three ponds for golf course irrigation at the Sutton Creek Golf Course, located in the Town of Essex, Ontario.

The ministry granted an Environmental Compliance Approval to 2587780 Ontario Inc. for the installation of one oil and grit separator to provide enhanced level water quality control at a commercial development site located at 383 Arthur Street South, Elmira, Ontario.

The Permit to Take Water No. 1411-DCGNEK was issued to Agnico Eagle Mines Limited on January 2, 2025, to renew the permit 7262-D3CLC9. Water will be taken from one (1) well for industrial purposes at the Detour Lake Mine Site, located approximately 185 kilometres northeast of Cochrane in Ontario.

Permit to Take Water No. 5362-D36R5G was issued to Sleep Hollow Country Club Limited on April 5, 2024, to renew Permit to Take Water No. 6545-9KRGCZ for golf course irrigation purposes. Water will be taken from one irrigation pond and one well in the Town of Whitchurch- Stouffville, Regional Municipality of York, Ontario for 10 years.

Approval is granted for an amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval No. 0314-CWVNWY for Beckley Beach Cottagers’ Corporation, to revise the Groundwater Monitoring Conditions, and to replace an existing Class 5 Holding Tank on a property described as Lots 15 to 78, Registered Plan no. 776, Geographic Township of Sherbrooke.

A Director's Order was issued to 2476790 Ontario Inc., Art McCaffrey's Garage & Towing Limited, Arthur McCaffrey and Kimberly Reid, to require the delineation of contamination originating from 54 Cannifton Road North in the City of Belleville.

We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. 7141-BZFN2N on April 7, 2021, which cancels and replaces Permit to Take Water No. 0042-AZ7NVH, for 2135097 Ontario Inc., located in the Town of Renfrew, County of Renfrew, Ontario.

The new Permit to Take Water has an expiry date of April 1, 2031.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on August 16, 2024 in respect of Application 58-C-231862 for one (1) new lot on lands described as PINs 62315-0041 and 62315-0042 on Shebandowan Lake, District of Thunder Bay. The last day this decision can be appealed is September 5, 2024.

This was a proposal to renew a Permit to Take Water for 975009 Ontario Limited, operating as The Willow's Golf & Country Club, for water taking for commercial purposes. Permit No. 1546-CV5PT5 was issued, with an expiry of October 1, 2028. Water will be taken from two wells and one pond for golf course irrigation.

We have issued Permit to Take Water No. 6322-CRQQEE on May 12, 2023 for Parkland Terminals of Canada Inc. in the City of Hamilton, Ontario for industrial purposes. The new permit expires on May 1, 2033. Water will be taken from Lake Ontario to allow the company to undertake hydrostatic testing of storage tanks.

A decision was made on April 14 2026, to approve, with modifications, a new Official Plan of the Geographic townships of Gorham, Ware and the Dawson Road Lots (Lots 1-20), Concession A and B, east of the Kaministiquia River to achieve consistency with provincial policies, and to manage and direct physical (land use) change within the planning area.

This decision is to renew Permit to Take Water No. 6180-A8TKN2 for Galata Chemicals (Canada) Inc. for industrial purposes. Water will be taken from one well for production and cooling water purposes during manufacturing processes, located in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury, Ontario.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on February 28, 2023, in respect of Application 52-C-226398 for a lot addition in Cochrane unincorporated township, District of Sudbury.

An amendment to the Niagara Escarpment Plan as been approved to reduce the number of permitted units from eight to five on a draft plan of condominium for the property located in the Municipality of Grey Highlands, County of Grey.
