A decision was made on April 14 2026, to approve, with modifications, a new Official Plan of the Geographic townships of Gorham, Ware and the Dawson Road Lots (Lots 1-20), Concession A and B, east of the Kaministiquia River to achieve consistency with provincial policies, and to manage and direct physical (land use) change within the planning area.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on December 19, 2022 for the creation of one new resource-based recreational lot on lands in Tudhope unincorporated township, District of Timiskaming. A Notice of Change, dated December 17, 2024, has corrected and clarified the standard conditions.  

We have approved S.A.M.I. Holdings Ltd. application for a licence to extract aggregate from a pit above the water table in the Township of South West Oxford, Ontario.

Certificate of Property Use No. 8781-DAGMU7 for 189 and 195 Milner Avenue, Toronto, Ontario was issued to Gold Touch Industry Corp., as part of their development plans for the site.

Certificate of Property Use No. 5846-CZYMYB for 12 Leslie Street, Toronto was issued to City of Toronto Economic Development Corporation, as part of their development plans for the site.

The Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks issued an overall benefit permit under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 (ESA) to Prodigy Gold Inc. to develop an open pit mine that will impact two species at risk bats and their habitat. The permit includes actions to benefit the species, minimize adverse effects, and outlines monitoring.

A Certificate of Property Use RA1186-11-01 was issued to Cambridge Investments Incorporated for the intended multi-storey mixed commercial and residential use of the property located at 2 Gore Street in Kingston, Ontario.

A decision was made on November 18, 2025 to approve Official Plan Amendment 62 to the City of Kitchener Official Plan, as adopted by By-law 2025-048. Official Plan Amendment 62 implements Strategic Growth Area land use planning framework for three Protected Major Transit Stations: Block Line, Fairway, and Sportsworld.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on May 9, 2024 in respect of Application 60-C-228296 to create one (1) new resource-based recreational lot.

Vicdom Sand & Gravel (Ontario) Limited has been issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit in the Township of Brock.

The ministry issued a Certificate of Property Use to 1939522 Ontario Limited on April 12, 2022 outlining the risk management measures as outlined in the risk assessment for the site known as the former Cytec Lands, Parcel B which is part of 4200 Stanley Avenue in Niagara Falls.

Certificate of Property Use No. 6872-BBPG32 for 346 Front Street East (Block 8W WDL) Toronto was issued to Her Majesty the Queen in right of Ontario as represented by the Minister of Infrastructure Inc., as part of their development plans for the site.

We have issued an Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) to Portlands Energy Centre Inc. as general partner for and on behalf of Portlands Energy Centre LP for the Napanee Generating Station located in the Township of Greater Napanee, County of Lennox and Addington, Ontario.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on July 23, 2021 in respect of Application 54-C-210389 for the creation of one new seasonal residential/recreational lot on lands in Tudhope unincorporated township, District of Timiskaming. The last day this decision can be appealed is August 12, 2021.

Ransome Construction was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit in Bruce County.

A decision was made on March 24, 2022 to approve the outstanding portions of Official Plan Amendment No. 11, as adopted by By-law No. 78-14, subject to one (1) modification, as outlined in the attached decision. The last date of appeal under the Planning Act is April 14, 2022.
