The government has proposed legislative changes to the Planning Act through the proposed Building Homes and Improving Transportation Infrastructure Act, 2026 to simplify, standardize and make more permissive municipal official plans so they are shorter, easier to understand, and more consistent across Ontario.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to 1300488 Ontario Ltd. to amend the current site plan to allow an increase in the annual tonnage limit, importation of excess soil and permit blasting on site in the Township of Ramara.

An Environmental Compliance Approval (Waste Site) was issued for a hauled sewage site.

We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. 8824-C2JMC2 on April 29, 2021, which cancels and replaces Permit to take Water No. 7551-8E3Q52, for Brockville Country Club located in Brockville, United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, Ontario.

The new Permit to Take Water has an expiry date of April 30, 2031.

The ministry issued a Certificate of Property Use to The Municipality of Central Elgin for their Port Stanley Harbour Lands, specifically the East Pier North and Parkette located in Port Stanley, Ontario.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-20-000252 to Robert James Dillman and Jim Renaud for early exploration activities located approximately 16.4 km southeast of Kirkland Lake, Ontario.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on July 24, 2024 in respect of Application 60-C-218169 for one (1) of two (2) new lots on lands described as PIN 42150-3190 on Ptarmigan Bay, Lake of the Woods, District of Kenora. The last day this decision can be appealed is August 13, 2024.

A new Sewage Works Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) was granted to Deer Ridge Family Camping & Cottages LTD, a seasonal recreational vehicle park located at 776A Deer Lake Road, in the Municipality of West Nipissing, Ontario., for the collection, treatment and disposal of domestic sewage with a Maximum Daily Flow of 47,640 litres.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval is granted for the establishment of seasonal sewage works to service a cottage with a peak daily sewage flow of 1,100 litres per day, located at Lot 200, Second Street at Belwood Lake in Centre Wellington, Ontario.

In an ongoing effort to modernize the Environmental Registry the Ministry has identified this as an outdated notice which is no longer pertinent or active. The Ontario government has instead revised how blue box materials are dealt with in the Blue Box Regulation that makes producers responsible for their products at end of life.

A new Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) has been issued to The Sarjeant Company Limited for the operation of one mobile ready-mix concrete batching plant. The equipment is a mobile facility that will be used throughout the Province of Ontario.

This application was for the renewal of Permit to Take Water No. 7424-7ZXM63 for golf course irrigation purposes. Water will be taken from one (1) river and one (1) pond. Permit No. 5167-BQ7QGT was issued on June 3, 2020 for a period of 10 years.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow Preston Sand and Gravel Company Ltd. to change the final depth of extraction from above the water table to below the water table for licence No. 624962 (Jigs Hollow), operating in the Township of Woolwich, Region of Waterloo.

This was for a Permit to Take Water for The Oshawa Golf Club Limited under Permit No. 8745-CXRJEL, issued for 2 years. Water will be taken from one watercourse for golf irrigation purposes at 160 Alexandra Street in the City of Oshawa, Ontario.
