The Permit to Take Water P-300-1726597278 was issued to Mistral General Contracting Inc. on May 3, 2024. Water will be taken from two ponds for construction dewatering purposes, located in the City of Ottawa, Ontario.

Pursuant to Section 54 of the Planning Act, provisional consent for a severance of a shoreline allowance and consolidation of both the severed and retained portions to two adjacent lots was granted on December 17, 2024, subject to conditions.

The Permit to Take Water No. P-300-5270692270 V1.0 was issued to Newlife Properties Inc. on Aug 16, 2024. Water will be taken from one pond for aggregate washing purposes, located in the Township of Thorndale, Ontario.

On December 5, 2024, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing made an amendment to Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 447/20. The Ministry of Long-term Care and City of Hamilton requested that the Minister consider making the Zoning Order Amendment.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent to create one new lot for resource-based recreational uses, together with an easement in favor of the new lot of, was granted on March 7, 2024, subject to conditions.

Application 60-C-219096 to sever Lot 1 (one of three new lots) on Wolf Island was approved on April 22, 2025 subject to conditions.  The last date to appeal the decision under the Planning Act is May 12, 2025.

 A decision was made to replace the one year prevent from purchase with a higher financial penalty as part of the graduated penalty approach for hunters who fail to submit a mandatory hunter report two or more consecutive times for a species.

The Permit to Take Water No. 2342-D3RK4M was issued to Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited, Dechan Quarry Excavation on April 17, 2024. Water will be taken from one well for dewatering, aggregate washing, and dust suppression.

Permit to Take Water No. 0356-CZYPL6 was issued to Norbord Inc. on February 14, 2024. Water will be taken from one well for industrial purposes in the Township of Chapple, Ontario, for 10 years.

We have issued a director’s order to Rain Carbon Canada Inc. requiring them to hold a public meeting and submit applications and supporting documentation for new site-specific standards and an amended environmental compliance approval by May 1, 2023.

Application 60-C-243629, to formalize use of an existing private road for accessing certain properties, was approved on April 29, 2025, as applied for by the Ministry, subject to conditions. The last date to appeal this decision is May 19, 2025.
