622117 Ontario Incorporated o/a Jim Brown & Sons Trucking have applied for a Class “A”, Category 1 licence (Pit Below Water) to excavate aggregate from a pit of 27 hectares in size. This application is for a new pit. The annual tonnage condition applied for is 300,000 tonnes per calendar year.
We have amended the Emissions Performance Standards (EPS) and greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting programs to provide voluntary participants with more flexibility to exit the EPS program.
We amended Renewable Energy Approval No. 0112-94VKPR for the Beckwith Solar Project, located at Lot 3, Concession 8 in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills, Lanark County, to construct a tractor storage building and associated double-walled fuel storage tank.
The government has changed the process for amending the Greenbelt through the Greenbelt Statute Law Amendment Act, 2023. Adding any future Urban River Valleys to the Greenbelt would require a legislative change.
A decision has been made to proceed with the design of a legislative framework for commercial-scale geologic carbon storage in Ontario that would enable the development of technology-ready commercial-scale projects and the continued testing and demonstration of newer carbon storage technologies.
