We have decided to amend Ontario Regulation 111/12 under the Ontario Forest Tenure Modernization Act, 2011 to establish a second Local Forest Management Corporation.
Kirkland Lake Gold Ltd. has submitted an amendment for the Macassa Mine Complex site, for filing by the Ministry of Mines (MINES), as required under the Mining Act, R.S.O., Chapter M14.
On July 30, 2021, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed an Amending Zoning Order with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation (O.Reg.) 550/21 which amends O. Reg. 169/21 to permit additional uses including a seniors residence and other institutional uses on part of a property known municipally as 36 Apple Creek Boulevard.
On April 6, 2021, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed an Amending Zoning Order with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 261/21 which amends O. Reg. 475/20 to provide relief from certain zoning requirements to facilitate the development of a 320-bed long-term care home and associated uses.
On April 6, 2021, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed an Amending Zoning Order with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 260/21 which amends O. Reg. 474/20 to provide relief from certain zoning requirements to facilitate the development of a 320-bed long-term care home on a portion of the property.
On December 9, 2019, Ontario Regulation 416/19 revoked 29 Minister’s Zoning Orders (MZOs) in northern Ontario. Revoking these 29 MZOs will reduce regulatory burden imposed by the province and will lead to a more consistent approach of development control across northern Ontario for unincorporated areas that are not part of a planning board.

We issued an Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air) to Matcor Metal Fabrication Inc., a manufacturer of various metal parts for the agricultural, construction, mining, energy, heavy truck and industrial sectors, located in the City of Mississauga, Regional Municipality of Peel, Ontario.
Following the receipt of a request from the City of Pickering, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing is consulting on a proposal to amend a Minister’s Zoning Order in the City of Pickering, Region of Durham, filed as Ontario Regulation 102/72. The City of Pickering requested that the Minister consider revoking the Zoning Order.
We issued an Amended Environmental Compliance Approval with Operational Flexibility to T.F. Warren Group Inc. operating as Brant Corrosion Control, an industrial liquid coating and rubber lining application facility located at 30 Garnet Road in Brantford, Ontario.
The ARA Regulation and the Aggregate Resources of Ontario Provincial Standards have been amended to change the way in which aggregates are managed in Ontario.
We are modernizing our environmental assessment (EA) program to better serve communities now and in the future. Comments received on the discussion paper have been and will continue to be considered when making decisions on EA modernization initiatives.

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing has issued the Provincial Planning Statement, taking effect on October 20, 2024. The Minister is seeking feedback as to whether there are any specific planning matters in process that should be addressed through a transition regulation (under the Planning Act) to facilitate its implementation.
