The Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing has decided not to revoke a Minister's Zoning Order in the City of Markham, filed as Ontario Regulation 599/21.

We issued an Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (Air and Noise) to Fenner Dunlop (Bracebridge), Inc., a manufacturer of conveyor belting used for the mining and industrial industries, located in Bracebridge, Ontario.

Ontario Regulation 161/17 and Ontario Regulation 239/13 were amended to allow short-term bridges, geotechnical investigations, and mobile wind testing and environmental monitoring equipment on public lands provided conditions are followed, including location registration. In addition, the definition of “shore lands” was amended.

On August 21, 2024, the Town of Ajax notified the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing that the request for a zoning order on lands known municipally as 1401 Harwood Avenue North has been formally withdrawn.

On February 27, 2026, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 35/26 with the Registrar of Regulations which amends O. Reg. 91/23 in the City of Mississauga.

An amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval (air) No. 6592-BDALNP with operational flexibility was issued to Gowest Gold Ltd., a gold-bearing underground mining facility, located in the Township of Tully, Ontario.

We are moving forward with changes to the Ontario Water Resources Act to require water bottling companies to have the support of their local host municipality for a new or increased groundwater taking in their community.

Permit PR-19-000131 has been issued on September 9, 2019. This exploration permit is valid for 3 years from the date of issue.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on December 10, 2020 in respect of Application 56-C-200496 to transfer mining lands described as PIN 65379-0185 (LT) and PIN 65379-0186 (LT) in Guibord unincorporated township, District of Cochrane. The last day this decision can be appealed is December 30, 2020.

The government has proposed Planning Act and City of Toronto Act, 2006 changes to create a regulation-making authority to establish a minimum residential lot size in urban areas. The government is consulting on a proposed regulation that would set a minimum residential lot size of 175 square metres.
