Permit to Take Water No. P-300-5335755583 has been issued to 2253667 ONTARIO LIMITED for golf course irrigation purposes. Water will be taken from two ponds, located in Port Stanley, Ontario.

This approval is for establishment of industrial stormwater management Works to service enhanced Passenger Pick up area at the Ajax Go Station located at Westney Road South, for the collection, transmission, treatment and disposal of stormwater run-off from a sub-catcthcment area of 0.71 hectares of the 2.184 ha. for 80% sediment removal.

We are moving forward with regulatory changes to make it easier for proponents to apply for a permit to take water when a previous permit has been cancelled, revoked, or expired within the past year in limited circumstances. These changes will give applicants more flexibility while maintaining oversight.

A decision was made on September 2, 2025, to approve, with modifications, the new County of Elgin Official Plan, as adopted by By-law 24-17. The new Official Plan is a long-range planning tool that will be used to help manage growth and development and implement goals and visions.

On August 29, 2025, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Minister's Zoning Order (with conditions) with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 205/25 in the City of Markham. The Minister of Long-term Care requested that the Minister consider making the Zoning Order, which was supported by Markham's Mayor.

On August 29, 2025, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Minister's Zoning Order with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 206/25 in the Township of Springwater. 

Approval was granted to Farhi Holdings Corporation for a new Environmental Compliance Approval to establish a stormwater management Works structure servicing a proposed Hope Harbour Waterfront Community development located at 22113 Grayline, Lot 6, in the Municipality of West Elgin, Ontario.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-25-000119 to AurCrest Gold Inc. for early exploration activities.

The decision is to issue the mineral exploration permit.

A decision was made on January 27, 2025 to approve with modifications, Toronto Official Plan Amendment 653, as adopted by By-law 822-2023. A decision is being withheld as it relates to three areas of the amendment. The approved Official Plan Amendment 653 proposes site specific land use redesignations and policies.

A decision was made on September 2, 2025 to approve, with modifications, Toronto Official Plan Amendment 583, as adopted by By-law 580-2022. The approved Official Plan Amendment 583 proposes policy and mapping updates on environmental matters.

A decision was made on September 2, 2025 to approve, with 2 modifications, Official Plan Amendment 123 to the County of Wellington Official Plan, as adopted by By-law 5890-24. Official Plan Amendment 123 implements recommendations of the County's Land Needs Assessment and growth management work to ensure suitable lands are available.

Ontario will proceed with updates to the Technical Guideline for the Cleaner Transportation Fuels regulation. It will include a modified pathway that could be used to calculate the lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions intensity of bio-based content. The Technical Guideline will be updated for this pathway.

The Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks has made a decision not to issue an overall benefit permit to Camino LVS Inc because of amendments to the ESA made by Bill 5.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow Talbot Sand and Gravel Limited to deepen the pond and to extract below the water table in the east and south setbacks, which will connect the existing pond with the pond proposed through the adjacent expansion application.
