The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-22-000203 to RJK Explorations Limited for early exploration activities.

The decision is to: issue the mineral exploration permit.

The site plan amendment request by J.C. Rock Ltd., seeking approval for amendments to stockpiles and berms identified on the site plan, for the Laxton Quarry in the City of Kawartha Lakes has been approved.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted in respect of Application 58-C-189386 for the creation of one (1) new resource-based recreational lot for land described as PIN 62279-9513 and PIN 62279-9515, Whitefish Lake, Unincorporated Township of Hardwick & Jean, District of Thunder Bay.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on February 12, 2019 in respect of Application 52-C-187236 which would sever 0.24 hectares from PIN 73040-0048 to be consolidated with abutting lands. The lands are in Ivanhoe unincorporated township, District of Sudbury. This decision has passed the appeal date.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on February 28, 2024 in respect of Application 58-C-233346 for an easement on lands described as PIN 62327-0281 in the unincorporated township of Jacques, District of Thunder Bay. The last day this decision can be appealed is March 19, 2024.

A Certificate of Property Use was issued to 321 Courtland Avenue Developments Inc. for the property located at 263 Courtland Avenue East, 30 Vernon Avenue, and 230 Palmer Avenue in the City of Kitchener on April 22, 2024.

This Application for Consent was given conditional approval on March 22, 2022, was amended on August 2, 2022, and was further amended on January 4, 2023.  Last date to appeal decision is January 24, 2023.

A Certificate of Property Use was issued to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation for the continued residential use of the property located at 400, 420 and 440 Strasburg Road, Kitchener, Ontario.

Application 60-C-223166 to sever Lot 2 (one of three new lots) on Wolf Island was approved on April 22, 2025 subject to conditions.  The last date to appeal the decision under the Planning Act is May 12, 2025.

The application for O. Bettschen Construction Limited for a major site plan amendment to change the final depth of extraction from above the water table (160 metres above sea level) to extraction below the water table to an elevation of 146 metres for two adjacent quarry sites has been approved.

A major site plan amendment was approved for Ronald A. Cooney Haulage Ltd. to amend the rehabilitation plan for Aggregate Resources Act Licence #1510.

Fowler Construction Company Ltd. was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit in the Town of Bracebridge

The Ministry of Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing has updated its Statement of Environmental Values to incorporate changes to the ministry's name, structure and mandate.

The application made by O. Bettschen Construction Limited to amalgamate Licence #2409 and Licence #625121 as one operation, licensed under #2409 has been approved.

We issued a Permit to Take Water No. 4488-CKYR9A on November 9, 2022 to Riverain Developments. Water will be taken from two (2) ponds for construction dewatering purposes in Ottawa, Ontario. This permit expires on November 9, 2030.
