Permit to Take Water No. 3305-DQRJPL was issued to Suncor Energy Inc. operating as Suncor Energy Products Partnership on February 12, 2026, to renew Permit to Take Water No. 8233-AKULE6 for groundwater remediation purposes. Water will be taken from Multiple Well Points in the City of Sarnia, County of Lambton, Ontario for 10 years.

Application 60-C-243629, to formalize use of an existing private road for accessing certain properties, was approved on April 29, 2025, as applied for by the Ministry, subject to conditions. The last date to appeal this decision is May 19, 2025.

The ministry issued a Certificate of Property Use to The Municipality of Central Elgin for their Port Stanley Harbour Lands, specifically the East Pier North and Parkette located in Port Stanley, Ontario.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on March 22, 2022 in respect of Application 54-C-216626 to sever one new lot for continued residential use, retaining a lot for a new aggregate use, in Lebel unincorporated township, District of Timiskaming. The last day this decision can be appealed is April 11, 2022.

This decision extends the expiry dates of site-specific standards for suspended particulate matter, and benzene for Stelco Inc.'s integrated iron and steel facility in Hamilton. The proposal was posted for 45 days to allow public input on the notices to extend the existing approvals’ expiry dates.

Ownership of the closure plan changed from Primero Mining Corporation to 1039344 Canada Inc.

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing approved on July 7, 2021 the new County of Prince Edward Official Plan subject to eleven (11) modifications.  The Official Plan, as approved, is consistent with the Provincial Policy Statement (PPS) 2020 and serves to guide land use planning decisions in the County.

This decision extends (by notice under s. 36 of O. Reg. 419/05) the expiry date of a site-specific standard approval for benzo[a]pyrene for Stelco’s Lake Erie Works integrated iron and steel facility in Nanticoke until June 30, 2023.

We have issued a director’s order to Algoma Steel Inc. requiring them to apply for new site-specific standards for air emissions for their Sault Ste. Marie facility by March 31, 2022.

We approved Certificate of Property Use No. 4724-B9BJHJ to UCANCO General Partners Inc., as general partner for and on behalf of Canure Limited Partnership (Owner) on August 8, 2019.

Approval was granted on August 21, 2019 subject to conditions. The last day to appeal this decision is September 10, 2019.

The Director of Exploration has made a decision on Cobalt Camp Refinery Limited Mining Closure Plan for filing by NDMNRF as required under the Mining Act.

The decision is to file the Closure Plan.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent to transfer a portion of land to a neighbouring property owner was granted on October 18, 2024, subject to conditions.

A decision was made on August 11, 2025, to approve with no modifications Official Plan Amendment 116 (OPA 116) to The London Plan as adopted by By-law No. C.P.-1512(dm)-166. OPA 116 redesignates select underutilized and vacant industrial lands to non-industrial designations to facilitate residential and mixed-use development.

The application for O. Bettschen Construction Limited for a major site plan amendment to change the final depth of extraction from above the water table (160 metres above sea level) to extraction below the water table to an elevation of 146 metres for two adjacent quarry sites has been approved.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow 1302824 Ontario Ltd. to remove aggregate from below the water table in a pit located in the Township of Uxbridge.

Application 60-C-215541 was approved on April 13, 2023, subject to conditions. The last date to appeal this decision is May 3, 2023.
