The variance is approved

We have made a decision to amend the Open Seasons and Hunting regulations under the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, 1997 to streamline deer season types and duration across the province.

On August 2, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Minister's Zoning Order, made pursuant to clause 47(1)(A) of the Planning Act, with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation (O. Reg.) 324/24 in the City of St. Thomas. MEDJCT requested that the Minister consider making the Zoning Order.

The variance has been approved.

We are posting finalized data survey and mapping technical guidance to support flood hazard identification and mapping by municipalities and conservation authorities in Ontario.

This approval is for a New Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) for Atura Hydrogen Inc., as general partner for and on behalf of Atura H2 L.P., operator of a hydrogen production facility, located in the City of Niagara Falls, Ontario.

The variance is approved until May 13, 2031.

On May 13, 2025 application 57-C-242646 for provisional consent was approved with conditions. The application would sever a triangular piece of land from PIN 31386-0450 (approximately 81 square metres in size) as a lot addition to an adjacent lot (PIN 31386-0295) to resolve a driveway encroachment. The last date of appeal is June 2, 2025.

Permit to Take Water No. 6420-D78VJ9 was issued to Carrying Place Golf and Country Club on July 22, 2024, to renew Permit to Take Water No. 8060-BDYKLU for golf course irrigation purposes. Water will be taken from one irrigation pond in the Township of King, Regional Municipality of York, Ontario for 5 years.

The variance is approved.

We have amended the Emissions Performance Standards (EPS) program to meet the federal benchmark and extend it through the 2023 to 2030 period. Complementary amendments to the reporting program were also made.

This decision is to renew a Permit to Take Water for Durham Stone and Paving Inc. for aggregate washing purposes in Southwestern Ontario. Permit No. 0131-CEAR4T was issued on June 28, 2022 with an expiry of May 31, 2032.

We have issued a new Permit to Take Water No. 5127-BNBJ99 on April 15, 2020, which cancels and replaces Permit to take Water No. 2561-9PGGS4 for Aecon Construction and Materials Limited located in Ottawa, Ontario.

The new Permit to Take Water has an expiry date of April 14, 2030.

We have decided to proceed with the proposal as described, which will improve transparency, reduce burdens for industry and ensure our crown forests continue to be sustainably managed.

An Environmental Compliance Approval (air and noise) was issued for Environmental Services Inc., a waste transfer and processing facility located in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, Ontario.

Approval was granted for a licence amendment to allow Fowler Construction Company Ltd. to vary the number of tonnes of aggregate to be removed annually for Licence No. 3581, operating in the Township of Ramara, County of Simcoe.

We have issued an Environmental Compliance Approval for the upgrades to the existing works for the treatment and subsurface disposal of domestic sewage to service Fiddlehead Resort Camp, consisting of 46 trailer sites, comfort station, 3-bedroom dwelling, and three cottages located at 50 Oliphant Way in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula, Ontario.

We have issued amended Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (Air & Noise) to Cargill Limited, operating as Cargill Protein, a poultry processor and producer located in London, Ontario.
