We have approved the amendment of Environmental Compliance Approval (Air and Noise) No. 7403-98ULBD for Port Welding Ltd., a manufacturer of various steel, stainless steel, and aluminum products located in the Township of Southgate.

The Permit to Take Water No. 8845-DAASHP was issued to Ursa Major Minerals Incorporated on June 19, 2025, to amend the Permit No. 4308-CNGM98. Water will be taken from one pond for ground water remediation purposes at the Broken Hammer Open Pit, located in the Township of Wisner, District of Sudbury, Ontario.

Application has been cancelled as withdrawn.

This decision is for a renewal of a Permit to Take Water for Mitchell Golf Club Inc. for golf course irrigation and other purposes. Under Permit No. 7882-CDVMFG, issued on April 28, 2022 for 5 years, water will be taken from two wells to irrigate a golf course in Mitchell, Ontario.

This proposal was to renew, amend and combine two (2) permits to take water, No. 1687-8JNNAL and No.1336-AP2KNT, to facilitate pumping for quarrying and industrial operations at the East, Centre and West plants. Permit to Take Water No. 6132-B6JLRR was issued on March 28, 2019 for a period of 10 years.

We issued an amended Environmental Compliance Approval to Toyota Boshoku Canada, Inc., a manufacturer of a vehicle interior parts, located at 230 Universal Road, Woodstock, Ontario.

An amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 5935-79ZSE8 has been granted to GIP Paving Inc., for their hot-mix asphalt plant located at 1649 Bearbrook Road, Ottawa, Ontario.

We have issued an Environmental Compliance Approval to Fusion-Thetics Inc. for a solid non-hazardous waste transfer and processing facility, located at 675 Woodside Street in Fergus, Ontario.

An amendment to the Environmental Compliance Approval No. 0469-9YUNSK was granted to St. Marys Cement Inc. (Canada), a cement manufacturing facility located in Bowmanville, Ontario for expanding the use of Alternative Low-Carbon Fuels at the facility.

Permit to Take Water No.4678-BAXNPZ was issued on April 17, 2019, with an expiry date of April 5, 2023.

An amended Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) with Limited Operational Flexibility was issued to Umicore Precious Metals Canada Inc., a precious metal refinery and production facility located in the City of Markham, Ontario.

The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing sought feedback on an approach to update the Projection Methodology Guideline to reflect the land use planning policies in 2021. The ministry has issued an amended Environmental Compliance Approval A572102 for EACOM Timber Corporation's site in the District of Timiskaming to allow for the reclamation of approximately 400,000 tonnes of wood waste that is landfilled at the company's waste disposal site.

Petersburg Sand Company Inc. was issued a licence to extract aggregate from a pit in the Township of Wilmot. 

An amendment to existing Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) A710160 was issued to Shepherd Enterprises Inc. on July 24, 2025, for the use and operation of a waste disposal site (transfer) located at 311 County Road 41, Bexley, City of Kawartha Lakes.

We have issued an Environmental Compliance Approval (air) to Stelco Inc., a manufacturer of integrated steel at a facility located at 2330 Haldimand Road 3, Haldimand, Ontario.
