Ontario Regulation 507/18 under the Electricity Act, 1998 (EA), which required Broader Public Sector (BPS) organizations to report their annual energy use to the Ministry of Energy, was revoked and replaced with a new regulation, Ontario Regulation 25/23: Broader Public Sector: Energy Reporting and Conservation and Demand Management Plans.

An Environmental Compliance Approval was granted to Boem Berry Farms Inc. for the stormwater management works serving the greenhouse site with a total drainage area of 47.86 hectares including phases 6 and 7 development, located at 496 Road 2 East, in the Town of Kingsville, County of Essex, Ontario.

The application was withdrawn and the file has been closed. No approval has been issued.

We are no longer considering the Administrative Penalties Guideline as it informed a regulation made under the Climate Change Mitigation and Low-carbon Economy Act, 2016 (CCMLEA) which was revoked when the CCMLEA was repealed.

Following consultations, we are releasing the Food and Organic Waste Framework to prevent and reduce food and organic waste, rescue surplus food, collect and recover food and organic waste and support beneficial end-uses. This will help the province build a circular economy and fight climate change.

An amended Environmental Compliance Approval is granted for stormwater management works to serve the Via Verde Hydroponics Ltd Greenhouse Expansion located at 1016-1102 Mersea Road 5, in the Municipality of Leamington, County of Essex, Ontario.

We passed a new regulation that will help create offset credits to use in Ontario’s cap and trade program.

An approval was granted to Under Sun Acres Inc. to amend ECA 8046-BRPJE9 for the proposed expansion and modifications of sewage works to accommodate the additional employment population from new phase three expansion of vegetable greenhouse and bunkhouse, located at 620 Mersea Road 10, in the Municipality of Leamington, Ontario.

The Ministry of Transportation has decided to no longer proceed with the following proposed e-bike amendments. At this time, the Ministry is proposing to create regulation making authority under the Highway Traffic Act to allow for e-bikes to be categorized into distinct classes with specific operator and vehicle safety requirements.

The amending regulations to the Building Code, O. Reg. 88/19, was filed on May 2, 2019. The amending regulation is available on e-Laws, Ontario’s online databased of statues and regulations. See The Building Code is a regulation under the Building Code Act, 1992 (BCA).

This approval is for a new Environmental Compliance Approval for stormwater management works serving 2645485 Ontario Inc. for the stormwater management works serving the Greenhouse Development site for collection, transmission, treatment and disposal of stormwater run-off from the lands located at 609 Road 3 East, in the Town of Kingsville.

We made changes to Ontario’s cap and trade program to link it with the programs in Quebec and California, set program caps for 2021-2030 and improve fair treatment amongst participants.

A decision was made on March 4, 2020 to approve, with modifications, Official Plan Amendment 13 to the Region of Niagara's Official Plan, as adopted by By-law 2019-77. Notice of this decision was issued on March 4, 2020.

A decision was made on June 25, 2021 to approve all of the Official Plan for the East Nipissing Planning Area with fifteen (15) modifications.

The ministry is no longer pursuing this proposal. The actions in this proposal, as well as the comments and feedback received were considered in the drafting of the current government’s Made-in-Ontario Environment Plan, which outlines proposed actions and commitments to help strengthen the province’s resilience to the impacts of climate change.

The proposal for updated Statement of Values for Treasury Board Statement is adopted.

We reviewed and considered all feedback received during the comment period for the discussion paper, "Ontario’s Crown Forests: Opportunities to Enhance Carbon Storage?". We will continue to consider options for supporting and enhancing carbon storage in Ontario’s Crown Forests.
