Permit to Take Water No. 1717-CXBTST was issued to The Sarjeant Company Limited on December 13, 2023 for eight years. Water will be taken from one well for industrial-aggregate washing purposes in the Township of Oro-Medonte, Ontario.

The original application for a subsurface disposal system was withdrawn by the applicant and a new application was submitted for the usage of temporary sewage holding tanks under a new ministry application Reference No. 0418-CTFKY8. The ministry issued Environmental Compliance Approval No. 9427-CTQPWV for the temporary sewage holding tanks.

We approved an amendment to the Environmental Compliance Approval (a waste disposal site) No. A220249 issued to Safety-Kleen Canada Inc., for the addition of new waste types, waste processing activities and waste storage areas to the facility located at 25 Regan Road in Brampton, Ontario.

This is the renewal of Permit to Take Water No. 1381-95ATPY for Triton Water Canada Holdings, Inc. and is for water bottling purposes. The new issued permit No. is 3133-C5BUH9 and was issued on Monday November 15, 2021 with an expiry date of November 15, 2026.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent for a lot addition to rectify an access issue was granted on May 22, 2024, subject to conditions. 

A new Environmental Compliance Approval was issued to Goodrich Aerospace Canada Ltd. for industrial stormwater management works to service parts of 1400 South Service Road West, located in the Town of Oakville, Ontario.

Bayview Hospitality Holdings Ltd. has withdrawn its application for a residential development on Campeau Drive in Ottawa, Ontario that would have impacted Butternut and its habitat. As a result, no permit has been issued.

An approval was issued to amend Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 0004-AHJJKY for the renewal of the Limited Operational Flexibility conditions, for Vale Canada Limited, Coleman-McCreedy East mine, located in Sudbury, Ontario.

We are moving forward with an industry sector-based regulation to address sulphur dioxide air emissions from the nickel smelting and refining industry in the Sudbury area that will replace certain requirements under the Local Air Quality Regulation.

Certificate of Property Use No. 6276-CK53B9 was issued on February 24, 2023, to Schneider Electric Systems Canada Inc. for 345 MacDonald Avenue, Belleville. The CPU will ensure the safe development of the property for commercial/industrial use should it be developed in the future.

We reviewed the Endangered Species Act, 2007 to improve protections for species at risk, consider modern and innovative approaches to achieve positive outcomes for species at risk, streamline approvals and provide clarity to support economic development. As a result of the review, we are proceeding with proposing amendments to the act.

We have issued an amendment to Environmental Compliance Approval (air & noise) No. 7601-9LTQQK for Nordion (Canada) Inc., a radioisotopes manufacturing facility located in the City of Ottawa, Ontario.

We have issued an Environmental Compliance Approval No. 8284-BQ5MHF to Cable Bridge Enterprises Limited, for the establishment of stormwater management works to service the 20.12 ha of the Belterra Estates Development located at the south east corner of Highway 89 and the 10th Sideroad in Alliston in the Town of New Tecumseth, Ontario.

On December 21, 2020, we issued an amended Environmental Compliance Approval No.4236-B5NNPP to Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd. for their Eagle River Mill, which is an ore processing facility located 50 kilometres west of Wawa, Ontario.

We granted a new Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (air & noise) to W.B.I.T. Incorporated, a metal cabinet and access door manufacturing facility, and to Strike First Corporation, a portable fire extinguisher assembly and filling facility, both located on a shared property in the City of Toronto.

Application was cancelled.

An amended Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility has been issued to all sources of air emissions from the Martinrea Metallic Canada Inc.’s. facility located at 99 Golf Course Drive in Chatham-Kent Municipality. The company manufactures metal parts, assemblies and tubular fabrications for the automotive sector.

An amended Environmental Compliance Approval (industrial sewage) has been issued to Jungbunzlauer Canada Inc., located at 1555 Elm Street, City of Port Colborne, Regional Municipality of Niagara.
