A new Environmental Compliance Approval was issued to YMCA of Three Rivers (Midwestern Ontario) for upgrades to the existing sewage works for the treatment and subsurface disposal of domestic sewage from the existing children's seasonal summer residential campground (Camp Belwood), located in the Township of Centre Wellington.
The ministry has issued an Environmental Compliance Approval for a waste transfer and processing site to Environmental 360 Solutions Ltd. to establish and operate a tire recycling and processing facility at 575 Welham Road in Barrie.
We issued an amended Environmental Compliance Approval (air) to Peterson Spring of Canada Limited, a manufacturer of spring components and replacement parts such as metal rings and other wire form products, located in the Town of Kingsville, Ontario.
On April 8, 2022, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing filed a Zoning Order, made pursuant to clause 47(1)(a) of the Planning Act, with the Registrar of Regulations as Ontario Regulation 330/22. The Associate Minister of Transportation requested that the Minister consider making the Zoning Order.

We have created Monarch Point Conservation Reserve in Prince Edward County to provide greater protection to the area. The conservation reserve was created through regulation under the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006.
The Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks is inviting stakeholders, Indigenous communities and the public to participate in our 10-year review of the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan to see if updates need to be made to continue to protect and restore the lake.
