The Director of Exploration has made a decision on the exploration permit application PR-21-000266 to Battle North Gold Corp. for early exploration activities 90 kilometres NW of Wabauskang First Nation Ontario, Bateman Township, District of Kenora, North West Region.

The decision is to: Issue

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent to create one new lot for seasonal recreation was granted on November 28, 2022, subject to conditions. A Notice of Change, dated November 1, 2024, has amended the list of conditions.

Network Sand and Gravel Ltd. has withdrawn this request and will not be moving forward with any changes to their site plan at this time and this proposal is considered closed.

The Ministry is proceeding with changes to the maximum rating of the breakaway device for relaxing cable restraints (RCR) used for trapping in Ontario. We are not proceeding with changes to the minimum loop diameter at this time.

On March 1, 2021 the ministry issued an exploration permit located approximately 90 kilometres North West of Wabauskang First Nation Ontario, in Skinner Township, Corless Township, District of Kenora, North West Region.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow JP Melo Holdings Inc. to change their phases of operation in the City of Kawartha Lakes.

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent to create one new lot for seasonal recreation was granted on November 28, 2022, subject to conditions. A Notice of Change, dated November 1, 2024, has amended the list of conditions.

An Environmental Compliance Approval with Limited Operational Flexibility (Air) was granted to NORPROP Limited, a zinc galvanizing facility located in North Bay, Ontario.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow Washington Sand and Gravel Ltd. in the Township of Branford-Blenheim to import 700,000 cubic metres of excess soil to backfill the site to the original elevation contours that existed prior to aggregate extraction.

Approval was granted for St. Marys Cement Inc. (Canada) to amend the current licence condition to allow a combined tonnage increase of 100,000 tonnes for licence 5489 and 624927, in the Township of North Dumfries.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow 2223117 Ontario Inc. to integrate operations between the existing Aggregate Resources Act (ARA) licence No. 4945 and the approved expansion ARA Licence No. 625996, operating in the Town of the Blue Mountains.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow Thames Valley Aggregates Inc. in the Municipality of Thames Centre to reduce the south setback to 0m changing the final depth of extraction from above the water table to below the water table in this area of the site.

Approval was granted for a site plan amendment to allow Talbot Sand and Gravel Limited to deepen the pond and to extract below the water table in the east and south setbacks, which will connect the existing pond with the pond proposed through the adjacent expansion application. 

Pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, provisional consent was granted on September 1, 2017 in respect of Application 59-C-177386 for creation of an easement for the purposes of ingress and egress on lands approximately 120 kilometres east of the Town of Fort Frances in the District of Rainy River.
