We have made a minor amendment to the Environmental Assessment Act to make it clearer that the authority to amend a Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) and a Class EA approval, includes changing the types (or classes) of projects that can follow a Class EA.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) is extending the 2004 Shebandowan Lake Management Plan, by three (3) years. The new expiration date for this plan will be July 1, 2027.

The Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing is consulting on two provincially initiated proposed amendments to the Parkway Belt West Plan and the Plan’s associated Minister’s Zoning Order, filed as Ontario Regulation 482/73, for lands municipally known as 2084, 2344, 2460 and 2482 Dundas Street in the City of Burlington, Halton Region.
The Minister has issued a permit under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 to the Regional Municipality of Halton for activities in Oakville that may impact Mottled Duskywing and Silver Shiner. The permit includes actions to minimize adverse effects, actions to benefit the species, as well as monitoring and reporting requirements.

The new regulation under the Planning Act outlines details for the implementation of the community benefits charge authority and parkland dedication. This reg. is part of the framework that provides municipalities with the tools necessary to fund services that growing communities need while making the costs of building housing more predictable.
MMAH is inviting municipalities with a potential interest in locally implementing the water and wastewater public corporation service delivery model to make a submission expressing their interest.
