As an Ontario citizen I am alarmed at the sweeping changes outlined in Bill 5. It seems decades of protections for ecosystems, land, water and air will be threatened by the passing of Bill 5.
In a time where life is continually under threat and the climate crisis worsens implementing a Bill which puts further pressure on the fragility of the environment is short sighted and lacks a vision of a more sustainable future for future generations.
I urge the legislature to cancel Bill 5 and the draconian laws which would give government sweeping powers and development to go unchecked in this province.
