I am absolutely against Walker Aggregrates taking water from the Saugeen and Styx River. It is vital that our natural waterways be protected in this age of advanced climate change and ecological decline. The reasons that this request should be declined are outlined below:
Risk to drinking water: The gravel pit proposal poses a risk to the county's drinking water.
Conservation and beauty: Preserving natural landscapes is essential for safeguarding the environment.
Ecological sensitivity: The proposed site may be ecologically sensitive and threatens wildlife species.
Environmental impact: A complete environmental impact study is needed to assess the risk.
Concerns: Concerns include water, soil, wind erosions, dust, noise, aesthetics, truck traffic, safety, impact on wildlife, biodiversity, health, and well-being.
