I can't believe this…

I can't believe this application is even being submitted. A representative from Walker, stated water will NEVER be taken. So much for trusting Walker! The application does not show the exact location of the water operation, but it is very, very close to the Saugeen River. This could potentially risk the local water source. The population in the summer is 175 people / per sq km, as it is a highly popular tourist area. A campground which has approximately 3,400 campers per season is located on the opposite side of the Saugeen River. In addition, the Saugeen River attracts thousands of tourists who travel and use the river for fishing, entertainment and just enjoying the river in a multitude of ways. The campground business will be at risk, the tourist will be impacted, both which damage the local tourism business of the area. The 24 hour, 365 day operation will surely be devastating to all the above as well. Given all the above, plus the poor hydrological analysis, I object to the application and strongly suggest Walker's Water Taking Application be denied.
