• It is unclear as to the extent that Part II wording may impact Council decision making. The implications of this new wording should be further discussed with respect to Council’s ability to decline from entering into agreements, such as responsibility agreements for communal servicing.
• If “Tiny Houses” are mandated through the implementation of the PPS. There should be changes to the assessment of properties, such that smaller homes with less assessment are still paying their share of municipal costs.
• Mulmur Township has an existing municipal water system that is operating below capacity at increased cost to the existing residents of the community of Mansfield. These homes and all future development is planned to be on municipal water and private septic systems. The Township is not interested in entering into responsibility agreements for communal waste services. Clarity is requested regarding the Provincial direction on municipal water and private septic. Further, the Township is interested receiving clarification on its ability to expand the settlement on municipal water and private septic.
• Clarification on what is “minor rounding out” is requested.
• The Township is seeking clarification on how views, which are included as cultural heritage landscaped “shall be conserved”.
• The Township is concerned that some natural heritage features may not be able to be re-established after extraction, or that there may be negative impacts that will not be quantifiable until after the extraction has ceased.
