Please don't get rid of Cap …

Please don't get rid of Cap & Trade. It was helping our environment and encouraging green-based businesses to establish themselves in Ontario and thrive here, all the while reducing our carbon footprint. A whole sector of new business will be crippled by the decision to end C&T, and ALL Ontarians will suffer as a result, as we all breathe the same air!
The green incentives were starting to work, and there needs to be more of these programs to help raise awareness of the impact we have as ordinary citizens on the environment. Encouraging Ontarians to adopt green technologies (from solar panels to smart thermostats and ESPECIALLY electric vehicles) is good for business as well as the environment. Why would you end such an important initiative?
The BILLIONS generated by Cap & Trade funded a wide range of green initiatives. Please keep these alive so that we can ALL do our part to help reduce carbon emissions. And please stop telling the people of Ontario that green programs such as the EV rebate were funded by "tax dollars". This simply isn't true.
