Canada, under Prime Minister Harper committed to The Paris Agreement ,an international treaty that seeks to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases.Ontario should become a ZEV province to target transportation emissions. Reinstate the electric vehicle incentive for ONLY full electric vehicles (BEV). There are more BEV options now. If Canada's largest province by population, along with having the city with the densist population doesn't participate in EVs.The taxpayer ,and ratepayer will lose out on a market that can see revenue hit $400 billion by 2024. Moreover, two countries with the largest population ,China, and India are driving the global EV business, and implementing policy to support the vertical. Manufacturers are ramping up business in their backyard to reap the returns.
Premier Ford supports the manufacturing, and automotive sectors. Ontario needs to remain competitive in the growing green economy vertical. While requiring transparency, and accountability from those who do business in Ontario.
