I have zero interest in seeing more suburban sprawl of unlivable, poor quality of life mid tier housing that is hardly affordable to begin with and only leads to expansion of car culture. The housing crisis is not in shortage of suburban houses. The crisis is a cost of living crisis and please put focus on increasing salary first and decreasing other costs. I am a family doctor and cannot afford a home. Even if I could I would absolutely refuse to buy a home that has been built on destroying our greenbelt. What a short sighted move to trade irreplaceable land at a time of complete climate crisis for a mass of almost identical houses that does little to contribute to its nearby city and is unobtainable for most lower income earner anyways.
I absolutely oppose the proposal to build into the Greenbelt.
