I am environmental science…

I am environmental science student at the University of Waterloo. I have also seen homelessness first hand. Bill 23 is catastrophic for the ecosystem services of the greenbelt. Once development begins, we cannot restore that land. Ecosystem services support the health of the people AND environment. I implore you to consider whether other options cannot be explored, such as using existing buildings to address the housing crisis. Climate change is a reality. Subduing our ability to cope with it is another nail in the coffin.
