I am strongly in favour of all of the proposed additions to these provincially protected areas. I have frequented or occasioned to visit several including Pretty River and Forks of the Credit in particular. That these two locations also support a cold-water populations of brook trout adds to their specific importance in the context of increased population and habitat loss across southern Ontario. It will be increasingly difficult and expensive to acquire properties as population and housing demands increase, so acting now to further protect these already secured properties seems to be a wise long term investment for conservation, recreation and preservation of the ecological services such areas provide.
