Steps backward like Bill 4 are particularly frustrating for those of us in the Environmental Sector. We all know that the only way to create a sense of responsibility is to punish and reward, whatever the issue might be. Creating a robust carbon pricing marketplace does not stifle profitability or development, it ensures better investment into greater efficiency. Turning away from this makes Ontario look, at the very least, shortsighted and ignorant, and without a doubt, irresponsible to the rest of the world.
