I live in the west end of Toronto and use the bike lanes on bloor daily to take my child to daycare. The bike lane makes me feel safe and provides a necessary buffer between my child and the busy flow of cars along the bloor stretch. Bike lanes are critical in a busy city and deserve to be on main roads. Bike lanes facilitate families like mine who actively chose not to drive for the sake of the environment to travel safely throughout the city.
