Why is this proposal seeking…

Why is this proposal seeking exemption from the Environmental Assessment Act? The proposal states that by 2031, there will be about 1.5 million more trips by car and trucks each day. Why not put this money towards expansion of LRT? This could significantly decrease traffic congestion on already existing highways, minimize car traffic and keep the highways for trucks. Please use tax dollars for something that will benefit the citizenry and have less impact on the environment. Thank you.
