RE: ERO # 013-3738 Bill 4, Cap and Trade Cancellation Act, 2018

I am deeply disappointed that the Government of Ontario intends to repeal the established "Cap and Trade" environmental program that is currently in effect. The Cap and Trade method of achieving reductions in greenhouse gas emissions is the method that offers industry the most flexible approach. It permits industries that can easily and less expensively reduce emissions to trade with industries for which making reductions is difficult or expensive.

I am further disappointed that the Government of Ontario is not offering an alternative. As a party that believes in the importance of family, I cannot understand why a PC government would want to increase the suffering and the financial burden of future generations that will be brought about by climate change.

I urge you to leave the existing Cap and Trade legislation and program in place until you an alternative program to deal with Ontario's contribution to this global problem.
