As an Ontarian who bikes every day for her daily commute, I oppose this bill. Cycling provides an environmentally-friendly, economically accessible, and health-promoting alternative to motor transportation. By requiring ministry approval for bicycle lane construction, municipalities like the one I live in will be limited in their ability to provide safe and healthy transportation alternatives.
