As a lifelong resident of Sault Ste Marie, I look forward to the new electric arc process at Algoma Steel, in the hope that pollution will be greatly reduced. I'm maddened by the fact that the Province sets limits for emissions, then allows the biggest polluters to exceed those limits with their "site specific" allowances. I would hope that, finally, the Province will be serious about the emissions from Algoma Steel to protect the citizens affected by them as well as protecting our shared environment.
