Please start taking the pollution and health effects of Algoma Steel seriously. Too many people are getting sick, just so some make money. The black smoke coming out is disgusting, no one should have to live that way.

The emissions rules are not followed now they are constantly going over the limit! The cancer rate in this town is ridiculous - I get that they employ a lot of people but they should not be allowed to not follow the rules.

Thanks for taking my comment. The plumes of 24hour black smoke and particulates clouds are the worst I've ever seen in my 50 years living in the Sault. My worries include no change in pollution even with an EAF in operation. Lire davantage

I live across the river in Sault Ste Marie Michigan. I always know when the wind is blowing out of the Northwest because I can smell the emissions from the Algoma Steel Plant. Often these emissions cause me to be congested and require allergy medication for temporary relief. Lire davantage

I live on Fort Creek Drive and sometimes in the middle of the night I can hear loud noises from the plant. I can only speculate what they are but at times it sounds like heavy objects being dropped. My house at times shakes from this. Lire davantage
