Would Ontario look at a similar moose program as Quebec where each year changes which moose are available to harvest. Hunters would need more than one tag to harvest. Our group varies from 6 to 8 hunters we would be happy to use all our tags to be able to hunt one moose. Possibly there could be a minimum group number for a tag based on each WMU based on moose population in that WMU. Rotating the harvest season would protect cows and calves to have the opportunity to grow the herd. I believe the extra tags not being claimed in the new draw system are from groups adding extra hunters to gain more points for future draws.
