I am vehemently opposed to emissions exemptions given the health risks to our community. These risks are unacceptable.

The Algoma district had an overall cancer incidence of tel:608/100000 in 2020 (the most current data from Cancercare Ontario); provincial average is tel:413/100000.

Four of my immediate family members have dealt with cancer, including the above listed lymphoma, kidney and bladder cancers, one of whom, sadly, lost her life. So many friends have or are battling cancer and many have lost family members of all ages because of it. We cannot in good conscience increase cancer causing emissions for any period of time in this community.
