I wholeheartedly support…

I wholeheartedly support extending the moratorium and would like to see it extended permanently. Our kids' & grandkids' future demands careful public stewardship of this fundamental resource, free from reckless pursuit of private profit. Bottled water is particularly egregious when single use plastic is factored in. Our biosphere is clogging up with micro-plastics, making oceans and water ways toxic to life.

I am extremely concerned about the assurances of so-called "science" related to understanding our complex groundwater systems. Complex systems are generally exponential (fractal) in their nature and defy the traditional linear bell curve models typically used. What this boils down to is that in a fractal reality, once we've detected a problem, it's too late. Given the absolute critical importance of water to sustaining communities and humanity, we can't afford to rely on the assurances of current "science". Severely limiting and eliminating frivolous extraction of water is the only rational policy going forward.
