Regarding the proposal to: Remove requirements for waste Environmental Compliance Approvals (ECAs) for third-party storage and processing of excess soil at aggregate reuse as well as small liquid soil processing sites, with regulatory rules to be followed instead (note: this is a revised proposal from what was previously proposed in October 2023; see ERO 019-7636).

As a qualified person involved with numerous project areas, reuse sites and soil management sites, I would recommend that the proposed maximum volume for this exemption be increased to at least 250,000 m3 (not 25,000 m3) to be of practical use for off-site soil management.
