It was windy here today in Prince Edward County. As I walked past the wind turbines I was angry & frustrated that they were not turning & maing power from our renewable resource - the wind. The White Pines project is near completion but the Ontario government is asking for the dismantling of the turbines. In the face of climate change & the devastating effects on our planet do the people in government not care about their children & future generations? Why don’t they listen to the scientists telling us of the dire consequences of climate change? Why are they going backward in time, when there is little time to make a difference for our precious planet?
Even children know the urgency. An 11 year old in Sudbury stages a strike near the city hall on the first Friday of each month #FridayForFuture It is a “ Strike for Climate “ and she says “ Adults need to cooperate and listen to the experts. This is a crisis. “
I strongly support the White Pines Wind Project and ask you to please stop the cancellation and dismantling of this project.
