Mining water for bottling purposes by private firms compromises public water supplies.
Commercial water-taking of the type Nestle intends compromises community growth.
Commercial water-bottling are not generators of large numbers of jobs.
Such operations pay comparatively little in taxes to municipalities and place a considerable (and uncompensated) strain on roadways.
There is no benefit whatever to any level of government by permitting such operations.
There is much political capital to be gained by every level of government that opposes commercial water-taking of the type Nestle proposes at the Middlebrook wellsite.
Stop Nestle now, or pay them for our water later.
