In general, moves toward disincentivising alternative modes of transportation are likely to increase car use and car-based traffic congestion, in addition to reducing safety for those able and willing to cycle. Please consider real data as part of this proposal, as well as long-term effects of investing or not investing in a broader range of transportation options within the city.
