I feel strongly that water taking for the purpose of filling plastic water bottles should be restricted because:
* access to clean water is a human right
* the value of the earth's fresh water to the common good takes priority over any possible commercial value
* fossil fuels are used to make plastic bottles and we need to reduce the amount of fossil fuels that we use to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
* plastic bottles are a common source of litter, many do not get recycled and
* many people have been brainwashed into thinking that bottled water is safer that municipally treated water.
We need a deposit on single use plastic water bottles to help reduce the amount of litter they create.
Single use plastic water bottles should be phased out over the next few years.
Access to ground water should be reserved for municipalities so they can have adequate water supplies for their residents.
