It is outrageous that a foreign corporation should be allowed to extract a free, life-dependent natural resource from our land and sell it back to us for profit. I whole-heartedly support this moratorium for an additional year, and would encourage a final determination that Nestle and other companies be banned outright from water bottling activities. Turn on a tap, go to a water fountain, bring a mug with you: there is virtually no reason in Canada that anyone needs a bottle of water, ever. The plastics waste and the stress on groundwater are two extremely compelling reasons to end the exploitation of our resources by foreign interests.
