I strongly believe that this moratorium should be permanent. The bottled water industry is environmentally damaging due to its plastic packaging. At least a deposit charged on each bottle should be imposed to reduce plastic litter and pollution.
A reasonable charge for groundwater removal for private sale should be imposed. Current rates are a practical give away of a precious and publicly owned resource.
The bottled water industry should not be given practically free content to place in polluting packaging that is transported by carbon polluting vehicles so that they can make a monetary profit
